The Science of Miracles

josephine_wall_doorway_stars_card

The Universe is, by design, an intelligent Universe with math and physics being a key “language” to help us understand its laws and principles. The Universal Law of Attraction tells us that the Universe, being limitless, can’t differentiate the scope or magnitude of a miracle. A miracle is just as likely to be something regarded as small as it is grand by our own perceptions.

Let’s talk about how a miracle actually works, and why we should never put an expectation or limitation on the magnitude of our greatness, or what we can achieve when we “put our Hearts together”. The best way to explain how a miracle works is to use the theory of an atomic electron transition also known as a Quantum Leap.

An atomic electron transition is a change of an electron from one quantum state to another within an atom or artificial atom. It appears discontinuous in our reality as the electron “jumps” from one energy level to another in a few nanoseconds or less. It is also known as atomic transition, quantum jump, or quantum leap. [1] These Quantum Leaps occur when energy begins to vibrate at a higher rate thus “jumping” it to another frequency, taking it closer to the Source of the frequency of its new vibration.

The same is true for us as human beings in that we are made of molecules, atoms and energy, meaning that we also have our own individual and collective energetic frequency that is emitted into the Universe. The significance here is that we are also capable, on an individual and collective level, of making a Quantum Leap according to Universal Law and Physics 101. When we emotionally connect with the idea that “God” is energy and not some bearded “man” sitting in the sky in judgment, waiting for us to “die” in order to decide if we’ll go to Heaven or “hell”, we release ourselves from any fear surrounding the Unconditional Love of “God”.

The fact is, energy never dies and cannot be destroyed – it can only change form. The energy of “God” is Love and the closer we vibrate to that Source, the more we resonate with the frequency of “God”, Source or Love. This is why this state feels so natural and satisfying to our being. It is a state of pure Love, free from all judgment and ego. It can also be defined as benevolence, compassion, consciousness, generosity, a state of grace, or a sea of tranquility.

A Quantum Leap?

kush2As many are seeing the shifts happening around them and hoping for a miracle, in the form of a Quantum Leap, we can all take steps toward making such an event occur as it is physically possible for it to be so. As with the atoms and molecules, it must start within for it to manifest without – into our external reality. We must learn to follow the laws of the Universe by living in Harmony with the Earth and her resources. We must live in balance with one another and (all sentient beings) in equality, free from labels and separation.

There are many people on the planet right now who are living a heart-based life of Love, forgiveness, truth and balance. And as we continue to raise our vibration, it also raises the vibration of the collective. As we collectively raise our vibration back to that of Source energy, or unconditional Love, it also grows more uncomfortable for those who continue to stay in a dense, fearful vibration. As time goes on, those who are living without, or in a state of fear (war anyone?), anger, greed, lack or judgment, or who live with a victim mentality, will find it increasingly difficult – even painful – to stay in this lower, negative vibration.

Some people describe this as karma but it is more simply described as ’cause and effect’. Any emotion or action that is not grounded in Love will begin to manifest as something “negative” in our reality, sooner or later. But this is where Miracles are born. At this time, we are becoming more compassionate toward others, and courageous enough to stand in our truth. Only byshowing Love and understanding – and our truth – to those who are struggling with this shift in vibration can we ensure no-one is “left behind” – for their benefit, and our own, as a collective.

For more, please read: The Survival of the Kindest: Evidence That Humankind is Evolving to Become More Compassionate

There is no right or wrong perspective, only a positive or negative way of perceiving a situation. We can perceive it from a place of being uncomfortable, angry or judgmental, or we can perceive it from a place of truth, peace, equality, and unconditional Love. It is all a state of mind that manifests into a state of being known as Heaven, Zen, Christ Consciousness, Nirvana, Svarga, and any number of lingual definitions of that which words cannot describe. It is not a “place” but a state of consciousness which begins as knowledge and manifests itself into wisdom when it is recognized as a Universal truth from within.

If we don’t see the change we wish to see in our lives it’s because we aren’t allowing ourselves to receive the gift that comes to us in the form of recurring situations whereby we can change our way of thinking, looking, and feeling about the circumstances in our lives — which are always a direct reflection of our respective thoughts and feelings. As we practice spiritual and emotional intelligence, we actually tell our DNA what to do in this “evolution” we are going through collectively! We come to understand that “God” is actually an infinite and intelligent energy Source that comprises everything, and our prayers are answered with an infinite number of positive outcomes, despite seemingly “impossible” situations.

Love is the Answer

images (1)It takes great courage of the heart to embark deep within oneself. It can be very confronting. We may feel pain, or regret, or that we were “wrong” in the way we perceive our respective reality, but we must remember that our perspective is not “wrong” – it is a unique manifestation of consciousness itself. And as we raise ourselves to a higher place of Love, we must show ourselves compassion and release ourselves from the emotions and experiences that are no longer on the same vibrational frequency as we are.

It is in our human nature to want to be right, for the ego to assert itself and keep going rather than looking within in order to make a change. Change is usually uncomfortable because it means something new when we are programmed (usually by fear) to long for something safe and/or familiar. In order to change our vibration to a higher energy it is also necessary to put ego aside and allow the change to occur, especially if it means changing your perspective from something based in “fear” to something based in Love and Universal understanding.

The gift of self-exploration is necessary in order to gain emotional intelligence for ourselves, the collective, and our planet — so we can begin to take a Quantum Leap together. We cannot consider ourselves intelligent beings if we continue to live in denial of our inner emotions, to live in disharmony and discontent, and perpetuate emotional and physical states of poverty, inequality, war, and oppression.

This journey is not something that one can step around. In order to create a miracle, it is necessary that we all go through this shift in our energetic being together and integrate the higher vibration of Love (God) into our physical reality. Call it “The Event” if you will. And it is possible. Whether by small jump or Quantum Leap, we are collectively on the path back “home”; to creating our own personal brand of Heaven, manifested individually and then collectively, thereby bringing it into our physical form. It is up to us as individuals to decide the scope of our miracles, our leaps of faith.

When we greet everyday as a miracle, we give ourselves the gift of spiritual consciousness. We resonate at a higher vibration, and align ourselves to the energy of our Mother Earth. And it is a gift meant for everyone, as our energy resonates collectively. By giving this gift to our self, we give a gift to the collective of Humanity, the Earth, and our Universe. As we increasingly give and receive the divine gift of Love, we will experience a Quantum Leap… we will manifest a miracle!

In our Universe, everything is possible. We are our only limitation!

It’s up to you. Please say “Yes!”

Dying to Live: Unity and Oneness, or Corporate Rule?

34694-librabyjosephinewall

By Jennifer Deisher

We live in a supportive Universe but do not live in a supportive system, and it’s the principal of this conundrum that influences our lives by way of our mental, emotional, physical and spiritual perspective.

The system we live in is a slow burn into a personal and private prison of negative emotion perpetuated by antiquated ideals in regards to energy, government and finance. Our society isn’t functioning from a place of teaching us how to live healthy lives and thrive in Wellness, rather we are taught how to slowly die instead.

From the smallest proton to the vastness of the Universe there is a constant and consistent force, and that force is energy. Energy never dies, it just changes form – and this is also the definition of Spirit or “God”. We don’t have to be “religious” to use something as simple as science to “prove” that energy has an effect on each and every one of us.  We can use our understanding of energy to determine how our society shapes and forms our emotional and spiritual health to get a basic foundation of how energy profoundly influences our daily lives.

Love and Fear – Energy’s Vibration

“If you wish to understand the Universe, think of energy, frequency and vibration” ~ Nikola Tesla

All energy has its own frequency which is the rate in which the energy vibrates. It’s a proven fact that ‘negative’ energy vibrates at a much lower frequency than ‘positive’ energy. As seen in the water molecule experiment, Love has the highest vibration of all and creates sacred geometry when Love energy is directed at the water molecule.

Human beings are also made of energy and our energy is our very Life-source, because our bodies couldn’t function without energy. By volume, the human body produces 60,000 times as much luminosity per cubic centimeter as the Sun, which makes human beings quite radiant indeed!

Word Vibrations and their Effect on Water 2

The simplistic thing about emotional energy is that there are only 2 emotions from which all other emotions stem – they are either Love or fear. Obviously fear is negative and Love is Positive, and we can visually see the difference. This means that if there is negative energy directed at a person, society, religion or social class then we are all affected in some way through labels and judgment or the “ego”, which is a service-to-self mentality. And the opposite can be said for positive energy.

Mental Slavery of the 99%

At this point we should all be familiar with the “elite” or “the 1%”, who hold the majority of the world’s wealth and prosperity. According to an article in Forbes Magazine, almost half of the world’s wealth is owned by just one percent of the population.

The fact that there is a global elite in the first place suggests an imbalance. If we live in a “Freewill” Universe then how is it that we can be so trapped and confined within a system where we allow a select few to speak for the masses? This also implies imbalance because most of us don’t remember having a choice in whether or not to participate in the system from Birth. The elitist system is based on conditions, rules, structure, labels and limitation which encourages and expects society to create a self-manufactured image of perfection in order to feed the 1%.

If we can find a way to empty our cup of all we think we know, we can re-assess the situation from a higher perspective. The system runs on the fear, stress, trauma and negative energy of its participants. It’s imperative to begin to free the mind from the propaganda that is programmed to keep society on a short leash, by giving our power away to the governments, media, doctors, banks, corporations and pharmaceutical companies.

Like the “Wizard of Oz” there is a proverbial “man behind the curtain” who is pulling the puppet strings of the few to manipulate the many.

“Mental slavery is the worst form of slavery. It give you the illusion of freedom, makes you trust, love and defend your oppressor, while making an enemy of those who are trying to free you or open your eyes” ~ Eli

I recently watched the Hollywood movie “12 Years a Slave” which is based on the book written by Solomon Northrup. It’s the true story of how he was taken as a free man and forced into slavery for 12 years. Solomon Northrup had already known Freedom but other slaves that had been born into slavery couldn’t be convinced that they were indeed “slaves”. This raises the question of how would we know that we don’t know in the first place? Furthermore, if we are born into an invisible slavery system based on a prison of fear and negativity, how would we be able to recognize it if it’s all we know and all our parents know? Especially if our parents and their parents perpetuated the fear based mentality by passing it down from generation to generation?

Harriet Tubman quote on slavery

Fear is the most negative energy that exists in its vibration and the most “hateful” thing we can do to one another is encouraging one another to be fearful or inflicting pain because of our belief systems. By keeping the general population in fear, we feel “threatened” whether we realize it or not. And as a matter of fact the U.S. has been in a declared “State of Emergency” since 1933, which has the intention of fear. This fear leaves us in a constant state of stress, in the fight or flight reaction it brings, thus leaving the Soul to quietly be consumed by the unhealthy emotions that fear brings — in its many forms.

Energy, Power, Wealth and Resources

In stark contrast, the supportive Universe is teeming with Life and is Limitless and Infinite by its very nature. The point being that if we are supporting an “elitist” system the Universe is also supporting this system as we Live in a supportive Universe. It’s quite obvious that the “elite” feel that they are entitled to resources including energy, water, and financial wealth — but where does that leave the rest of the 99%? I don’t know who decided that they were in charge of auctioning off resources that belong to ALL of Humanity’s children. As a child of my Creator, it is quite logical and apparent to me that I don’t have to “earn” my right to be here in the first place, and I certainly shouldn’t have to pay or fight for resources that are for ALL of us and not just a select few.

All-people-everywhere-should-have-free-energy-sources-Electric-Power-is-everywhere-present-in-unlimited-quantities-and-can-drive-the-worlds-machinery-without-the-need-for-coal-oil-or-gas

When we support an elitist agenda we are in fact enabling ourselves to give our Power away to some sort of “authority figure”, and think that said authority figure is going to come to the rescue when times get tough. As many are finding out, this is not going to happen. The scary part is that the agenda has never been in favor of the masses but yet we support it anyway and, not only that, we teach our children to support it. This inadvertently leaves behind a legacy that cannot sustain itself or our planet, which is also consumed by our “negativity” in a physical and spiritual way.

Energy and Resources

Energy is an important factor in this discussion, especially when one takes into account that Free Energy Technology has existed for quite some time. For those who are still skeptical of this, please check out the open sourced documents for a quantum energy generator and this short clip of the Quantum Energy Generator reaching resonance for the first time in the One People Community Aouchtam workshop.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7–G5qSDag

Fossil fuel and the petro-dollar are the cornerstone of our enslavement as this gives the “elite” all the excuse they need to invade countries for their resources under the guise of “terrorism”. With a select few “stealing” energy from the masses by way of fossil fuel when there are cleaner and better ways, we can begin to see how the global resources have been manipulated to line the pockets of the few while leaving the masses in poverty, illness, homelessness and hunger.

The mainstream media is owned by corporate conglomerates who, like oil tycoons the Koch Brothers, buy the way for their agendas to make it into law and governance, and decide whether or not to report their dealings on the “news”.

Health Care

This is also true for the pharmaceutical companies in that they do not promote Healing or Wellness rather they invent illness so they can profit from treating the symptoms but typically not the root cause.

Have you ever noticed how doctors know exactly what surgery to perform or exactly what drug to prescribe which only treats the symptoms but rarely the root cause of the illness? It’s baffling that insurance companies refuse to pay for more holistic treatments and approaches to Healing in general. There’s plenty of “illness” to go around these days too, if we also include psychology, trauma (PTSD), addiction and depression. But there’s no time or financial resource spent on Healing. There’s always a pill and an “instant gratification” solution so that you can buck up and get back to work, or jump through hoops to maintain an economic solution when one is unable to “earn a living”.

There’s a great documentary called “Escape Fire: The Fight to Rescue American Healthcare” which is a must-see if one is questioning the state of Healthcare in the U.S. (or comparable economies). To learn more, visit the Escape Fire website, watch the movie trailer, or support the film-makers and pick up a copy on DVD.

The War Machine

The war machine is what the “elite” agenda relies upon to keep the populace in fear and terror, while keeping them in control of finance and resources. There is no Love in war and no one ever “wins”, as is evident by the “war weariness” that has captured the Hearts and minds of the masses. Yet, we find ourselves on the edge of our seat waiting for the next excuse to invade a country rich in resources or another who is considering putting an end to the fiat dollar in the best interests of Humanity.

An Era of Corporate Rule

There was a very important Supreme Court decision in the Hobby Lobby case that will give more “proof” that the agenda of modern government is one-sided; Corporations, by law, have the same rights as Individuals. This means that we have a Government that is for The Corporate, and not a Government that is Of The People, By The People, and For The People as stated in the Constitution — which therefore violates our Constitutional Right to Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. Meanwhile, our Senators and Congresspeople argue over Corporate interests.

arundhati roy quote - corporate revolution will collapse if we refuse to buy what they are selling..

And this was also in our face lately, in regards to the recent Supreme Court decision McCutcheon v. FEC. Quoted fromMoveToAmend.org:

On January 21, 2010, with its ruling in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, the Supreme Court ruled that corporations are persons, entitled by the U.S. Constitution to buy elections and run our government. Human beings are people; corporations are legal fictions.

We, the People of the United States of America, reject the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in Citizens Unitedand other related cases, and move to amend our Constitution to firmly establish that money is not speech, and that human beings, not corporations, are persons entitled to constitutional rights.

The Supreme Court is misguided in principle, and wrong on the law. In a democracy, the people rule.

WE MOVE TO AMEND.

Click here to sign the ‘Move To Amend’ Petition. This is important because, in the words of Supreme Court Justice Stevens (January 2010)…

… corporations have no consciences, no beliefs, no feelings, no thoughts, no desires. Corporations help structure and facilitate the activities of human beings, to be sure, and their ‘personhood’ often serves as a useful legal fiction. But they are not themselves members of “We the People” by whom and for whom our Constitution was established.

The Role of Organized Religion

Christianity and other “religion” teach us that there is a judgmental “God” who sacrificed his son in order to save us from our “sins”. This is unhealthy and another way we give our energy away to those we perceive as being “above” us in some way, and perceive our humanity to be inherently “sinful”. It teaches us that we/they can do whatever we want to each other and the planet (sin) without consequence, when the Universal Law of Polarity states that there is Cause and Effect to everything.

The true teachings of Jesus speak of the Power we have by way of the Law of Attraction to Create our reality — and this is what we do everyday by continuing to sell our Soul to a select few while our children are dying in war, famine, emotional trauma and poverty.

There is no judgment or condition in the Real emotion of Love and it is Christ Consciousness that must return to us from withIN, in taking back the Power we have chosen to give away by “default”. There is no “messiah” rather there is “us” and we are the ones we have been waiting for. It takes a great deal of Faith to decide to no longer support the flawed system of limitation (including religion) that we have allowed to rule us in an Infinite, Intelligent, Loving, Abundant Universe.

As Above, So Below…

The Law of Correspondence (Immutable): The second of the seven Universal Laws tells us “As above, so below; as below, so above” ~ Tania Kotsos

This means that there is “harmony, agreement and correspondence” between the physical, mental and spiritual realms. There is no separation since everything in the Universe, including you, originates from the One Source. The same pattern is expressed on all planes of existence from the smallest electron to the largest star and vice versa. All is One.

The Ancient Greek Temple of Apollo at Delphi refers to this great Law of Correspondence in the inscription “Know thyself and thou shalt know all the mysteries of the gods and the Universe”. This means that what we inflict on others by way of our limited perspective of what we are “told” vs. the Truth is the same as hurting ourselves because we are all Connected. As above, so below.

The Truth is that we can no longer excuse ourselves with denial in order to leave behind a Legacy for our children that includes a planet in which to live on. We have to begin to make our government, financial system, big pharma, and corporationsaccountable for their actions; by not doing so we are enabling our own demise, much like an insecure victim, enabling our addiction to this incredibly flawed perception of “Freedom”, which actually teaches reliance instead.

Frantz Fanon - The Idealist - Cognitive Dissonance

Unity and Oneness

Working with others involving emotional trauma, it recently occurred to me that it is much more difficult to Heal the hurt of misunderstanding the misuse of energy and the power we have given away on a personal level. But it is possible.

Each individual is different but our experiences speak of Unity and ONEness. If we can Awaken ourselves to the societal issues without throwing our hands up in denial and powerlessness, we can begin to find our Spirituality again through this Freedom. If we can embrace our Power as “the masses” we can begin to support a New system of Free Energy and responsible governance, especially when it comes to financing the few.

In an Infinitely supportive Universe, we can begin to Live and Thrive through the Healing of the planet and the “trauma” we have endured together while we were “sleeping”. We can shed our self-manufactured image of perfection in order to work through the process of RE-building something that is in favor of the 99% of US, the Human Race. A supportive “God” (Universe) is a LOVING force of energy that wants what WE want and will support us in Limitless ways.

I believe that Free Energy Technology is the first of many waves of our “liberation” and it’s now being distributed Freely via the internet and social media. From here, there will be no more stealing of energy via fossil fuels, war, money mongering, and keeping the masses in fear. When we realize that our energy has been Free all along, we will see that the most important things are also Free, like a Loving Universe and the Human Connection of ONEness.

It starts with each and every ONE of us by RE-focusing OUR energy on more and more productive ways to shift our reality to ONE that is for the Greater Good of Planet Earth=Heart and her Creatively Intelligent children, the Human Race.

The Hijacked Mind: Healing a Society in Trauma

Contributing Writer for Wake Up World

Healing-the-Hijacked-Mind-Artwork-by-Arturo-Leal-via-artlc.deviantart.com--248x330The hijacking of our minds and our consciousness with fear-based societal manipulation is the foundation for many of our most deeply rooted beliefs and perceptions. The institutions of our society are designed to produce fear, stress and trauma via manufactured systems of power, governance, education, religion and finance (just to name a few) — all of which serve to propagate institutional instead of personal power. And, while we are spiritual beings having a human experience, we are human after all, and our psychology and biology play compelling parts in our behavior and reactions to those manipulative stimuli.

By having an awareness of how the hijacked brain works, we can learn how to heal and recover these sensitive “fear based” areas, deepen our awareness of our own personal evolution, and help to heal a society in trauma.

Amygdala Hijacking

There is an area of the brain known as the Amygdala, which is responsible for creating our flight/fight response to perceived threats and overwhelming situations. It is a necessary evolutionary tool for our survival, creating an immediate emotional fear response that steers us clear of genuine threats. But it does not react only to the present, it reacts to the possible future, the threat of what may happen, the worst case scenario.

We do not fear the unknown… We fear what we project onto the unknown.

There is also a term used in psychology known as an “Amygdala hijacking” which is described as a way of deliberately eliciting “emotional responses from people which are immediate and overwhelming, and out of measure with the actual stimulus because it has triggered a much more significant emotional threat”. Or in simpler terms, keeping people afraid. In the natural world, fear is a temporary response that causes us to remove ourselves from (flight), or change (fight), a certain circumstance. Fear hijacking, however, creates a sustained fear response, by continually stimulating the Amygdala’s perception of the threat.

In this article, I want to talk about what happens when Amygdala hijacking becomes a permanent situation — a situation we and our society find ourselves in today — and how we can begin to heal from our own worst fears and nightmares.

Indeed, much of this has to do with biology and our natural “fight or flight” reactions, which are beneficial tools to help keep us alive, but it also helps to understand how our environment and conditioning plays a role in stimulating the fear-wired portion of our brains. Once we begin to understand and make peace with our own fear triggers, we can begin to clear and purify the damage caused by widespread institutionalized Amygdala hijacking, and take conscious control of the part of brain that may be clogged with intentionally fear-inducing outside stimuli.

Objectifying Fear

Like all unresolved emotions, a clogged “fear filter” in the brain can cause energetic build-up and blockages in the biological body; which may result in dis-eases such as depression, anxiety, addiction, substance abuse, anger, tension, guilt, shame and apathy (just to name a few).

The problem with the cold and heavy emotion of fear is that fear itself also has “consciousness”, intruding on our experience of self, depending on how we filter fear through our psyche and our bodies (including the physical body.) We subconsciously hold onto fear, even defend and protect it. It fuels our addictions, anxiety, depression, and negativity in general, especially if we still hold the tension of unresolved emotion in our physical (cellular) body.

To overcome our fear, to take away the power of fear consciousness, we have to learn to “objectify” it. It’s important to understand that fear has its use, to warn us of impending danger – such as fire, wild lions, or moving vehicles – however we’ve learned to live with an unnaturally elevated level of this natural emotion, due to outside manipulations. Through the mainstream news media, we are exposed to stimuli daily that encourages us to live in fear; of impending war, of environmental disaster, of terrorism, of crime, of financial crisis, of disease, and even of each other. And most of all, we are taught to fear death, and therefore, to fear life itself. We adhere to countless rules, knowing our livelihoods depend on it, and see signs constantly throughout the day warning us of this and that. Then, many of us wind down by scaring ourselves rigid with a movie, or a thrill ride, or a kill-or-be-killed online game. As a result our bodies, our subconscious, and our consciousness are constantly responding to an unnaturally high level of fear-inducing stimuli.

Healing-the-Hijacked-Mind-2

Stimulated by the distorted focus of the ‘reality’ presented to us, the Amygdala’s reaction is to initiate flight/fight responses in the body, and because we can neither flee what we fear nor fight it off, the energetic and subconscious result is a background hum of unresolved fear. Although most of us have gotten used to it, the biological fear response alters our perceptions and keeps us “on edge”, coloring our emotions and our choices. In this way, prolonging a general sense of fear in people is a perfect tool of would-be controllers.

The Natural State

When we go against Natural Law, intentionally or otherwise, we create emotional imbalances. Today, such imbalances are deliberately instilled; an escalating consequence of the individual and collective “fear hijacking” that compels us as a society to live outside the bounds of Natural Law. For reasons we barely comprehend, we create plastics for short-term use, which never break down. We turn to chemical poisons instead of ancient natural remedies in hopes they will improve our health. We poison our air, soil and water supplies with toxic industry and agriculture. We declare war our own species over the differences in our spiritual/religious experience, and over non-renewable energy and resources, while suppressing non-polluting energy sources that might replace them. And we consume more of the Earth than the Earth herself can sustain.

Our natural state is not to live in such “dark”, imbalanced energy. And as we continue to consume of the Earth, ignoring the principles of Natural Law, our energetic imbalance consumes us, and also consumes our planet; our Mother.

We live in an electromagnetic universe. Our unresolved and imbalanced emotions are a huge part of the chaos we see all around us. And it’s our responsibility to clean up our own “energetic” mess! If we look at the biology of our elevated “fight or flight” dilemma, and understand it as a consequence of fear hijacking, then we can begin to see the need for emotional clearing, so we’re able to clean up our energetic mess from the inside out.

It’s a confronting process and one that shouldn’t be taken lightly, but this is our karma; we all have this responsibility to our Self, each other, and Planet Earth. Our trauma and shadowy experiences tend to hold on for a reason — they hold a lesson for us — so it’s a profound and healing journey to get to the root of our actions and reactions.

In this process, it helps to focus not on the negative — on why we have been influenced with this fear, or who is responsible — but on the positive — on taking responsibility for our own well-being, happiness, and the embodiment of our spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical journey. The who and why of the mass fear hijacking of humanity become irrelevant when we take control of our own being; when we face the root of the fear at its source instead of band-aiding our traumatic and unreleased, imbalanced experiences.

The Tree of Life

Our bodies are an intricate design of brilliant architecture and none of it is by accident. It is through the physical and energetic body that we access the unseen and connect to the “unified field of Consciousness”; the universal library of information known throughout time, culture and religion as The Book of Life, The Akashic Record, The Tree of Life, or the Unified Field of Consciousness.

1424218016_5c9cWhen we think of the unseen — our collective psyche, stored experiences, emotions and unresolved “traumas” — as being stored beneath the roots of our proverbial trees, in the Earth herself, we can begin to imagine that we, through our physical “seen” bodies, are the key to accessing these depths… with caution and care. By accessing the Tree of Life, we activate our connection to the vast unseen, beyond fear and trauma, and begin to find balance and heal our wounds at the roots.

When we begin to examine our fear response, what we find at the roots of our own personal tree is a deeply motivating force that underlies our entire life experience, including dis-ease of the mental, spiritual, emotional, and physical “bodies”. But, if we can build an understanding of how we experience fear in its many faces and forms, we can begin to undo the cellular and energetic damage caused by our subconscious, biological reactions to fear.

Conditioned as we are, seeing our fears from a new perspective is something that we have to actively look for, at least at first — but when we do, we can begin to affect our unseen energetic roots, which in turn affects how we bloom ‘above ground’. Inside our roots — our DNA — is all of the genetic knowledge that has accumulated over all of our respective lifetimes, both individually and as a collective. The wisdom of the Tree of Life is embedded within you, waiting to be discovered and expressed.

Our inner voice is always there if we choose to listen, but listening is also learning to quiet the blocks created by the unprocessed fear that needs clearing in the first place. The “catch” is also the chase. When we (finally) emotionally connect with the root of our fear, there will be a clash of energy and the base emotions of grief. When this energy begins to move, we often look for a replacement or we tend to go back to our fearful patterns, until we find a place of fearless acceptance.

A gratitude practice, meditation, or journaling (or a combination thereof) are all greats way to begin to appreciate the depths of our emotional, spiritual, mental, and physical nature. Where we find resistance is where we need to nurture ourselves and our perspectives with more loving intention.

We Are Evergreen!

To truly connect with the Tree of Life, we must learn to be a part of it; to live and abide by Natural and Universal Law, instead of choosing to remain “victims” to the fear-inducing system that hijacked us in the first place. The system will fail because it wasn’t created according to the Natural Laws of Creation — that is a given. But, as eternal spiritual beings, we must recognize that we are also having a very “human experience” here, which requires that we face the effects of the “energetic mess” we have collectively created, in order to transmute it for the future.

Remember, everything in this journey is a process; an evolution. Our perspective is always changing. We have to give ourselves permission to be happy, prosperous, healthy and whole, while we also do the work of facing our personal and collective shadows. Only by allowing ourselves permission to truly heal and truly be whole — aware of light and dark, the seen and the unseen — will we be able to interact with our own “mess” in an objective, constructive way.

We have everything we need withIN; all of the Love and all of the wisdom we need. The Earth is ancient and our DNA is ancient, filled with the knowledge of the Universe. There is an answer to every question and a cure for every dis-ease — and we begin to find them, when we connect with The Tree of Life and begin to care for it, by learning to care for ourselves (and each other) in deeper and deeper ways.

Listen to the wisdom within you and embrace the beautiful gift of being human, in all its emotional complexities.

Just like life itself, we are Evergreen!

God’s Vineyard ~ Initiating Spiritual Growth

By: Jennifer Deisher

Tuscany W flat sm

We all have access to a higher creative, intelligent power and a beautiful spiritual vineyard where we each have our own sovereign plot.  For argument’s sake, we’ll call this loving source of power “God” with an understanding that our power is something we are all seeking, whether we realize it or not.  We begin learning to attract “things” by using The Law of Attraction and/or spirituality, but it takes a combination of modesty and discipline in order to practice this in a spiritual sense; not a place of ego. We become accustomed to giving our power away to authority and external things until we forget how to have an intimate relationship with God in a natural, organic way.  It is up to us to plant divine seeds in our vineyard; using our free will to ask for tools that allow us to grow and learn.  If we’re not feeling a little “dumbed down” from time to time, we’re not learning anything.  Why allow ourselves to feel embarrassed or stupid for our own naivety?  Compared to something all-knowing and all-encompassing, we are the equivalent of an innocent child.  We can go about educating the child in kindness or belittle it in condemnation for being that which it is, a soul who is willing and eager to learn but still adolescent in the much bigger picture.

We have the individual skills to discover the emotional connection to our power but learning how to use it takes persistence and conscious awareness.  The dichotomy is, we’re supposed to feel powerful but we should maintain a healthy respect for both God and our fears.  If we don’t, we become like the hypocrite who preaches that God is the driving force in their life without building their spiritual house on a solid foundation of spiritual logic, the logos.  We become experts at learning philosophy and giving advice without caring for what’s been given unto us as individuals, the Self.  By identifying with someone else’s interpretation of something that can only be self-defined, we become our own golden calf and sacrificial lamb for thinking we can build a house without emotional, physical and psychological substance.  We have to be willing to change and make adjustments to what we think we know by allowing spirit to move us where we need to be.

Spiritual Bypassing

ByUUeJNCcAASYJy

When the remedy you have offered only increases the disease, then leave him who will not be cured, and tell your story to someone who seeks the truth ~ Rumi

Spiritual bypassing shields us from the fallout of our reality, especially if we’re having a hard time coming to terms with something.  In short, it keeps us disconnected from our true emotional state looking for something outside of ourselves to make us feel better.  On the flip side, it says we’re seeking a spiritual path and it’s much better than some of the alternative coping mechanisms such as substance abuse.  For instance, there’s a great deal of ideas and rhetoric about how to fix the world, even though what’s happening in the world at large may not be effecting our individual reality.  Our spiritual “ego” is very good at telling us we have it all figured out when, in fact, we may be focusing “out there” because there’s something right where we are that we’re trying to avoid.  With spiritual practice we learn how to confront our fear in a healthy manner, understand how we use it to feed imbalanced patterns and begin to quiet our thoughts in order to listen to the answers from withIN.  When we don’t slow down and listen, we tend to find ourselves right back in a “fight or flight” state every time we become emotionally triggered.

Connecting to God is about building a bridge between the physical world and the spiritual world.  Spiritual bypassing happens when we begin to awaken but quickly forget that we live in the physical world where there are many distractions to keep us from tending to The Vineyard.  We use our knowledge and intellect to deflect the intimate connection with God because, in order to do so, we also have to face our own emotional, physical and psychological proclivities.  We can’t heal something with God if we refuse to allow ourselves to be awake and aware to it.  When we go about living only in a spiritual reality, and not drawing upon our experiences in the physical world, we go about denying ourselves the healing that God is offering to each and every one of us.

It’s not about making it right with others, it’s about making it right withIN.  There is a profound spiritual significance to “confession” but confession doesn’t mean getting honest with a priest or a middleman – why would we want to connect with God by proxy?   Participating in spiritual confession means bringing forth an emotionally honest and heartfelt revelation with ourselves in front of God about how we feel.  We give it over to something with greater clarity allowing us to use the experience moving forward as we plant, weed, grow and harvest our vineyard plot of sovereignty.  When we’re shown something we can’t accept, our circumstances continue to repeat themselves until we face it head on.  It’s not always easy to find Truth when, in some cases, we have to question our own sanity right along with it.  As love is patient and kind, we know there is a nurturing power holding space for us until we can confront ourselves into a place of acceptance.  We don’t find our way out of darkness without a little post-traumatic stress sometimes; but God stays with us, gently asking us to have a change of heart so we can find our way home.   We are our own atlas, the atlas that holds the weight of the world on its shoulders or the atlas that is the roadmap to salvation; it’s up to us to choose and choose wisely.

The Logos

download (2)

There is a logical interpretation to the message of Christ just as there is great relevance in the polarizing process of em-bodi-ment.  The love of God, in its purest form, is not something we can assimilate in a short amount of time which is why enlightenment is a continuous progression.  Embodiment is the integration of energy and we can feel it as we heal teaching us to recognize it as such.  It goes toward familiarizing us with our own emotional resistance.  With practice walking in grace, love, sovereignty and truth; we begin to objectively create with the energy of God rather than in spite of it. There is a difference between humbly giving ourselves over to a higher power in discipline and intimacy as opposed to giving that power away to the authority of another.  When we don’t establish healthy boundaries we give away our dignity, integrity, self-worth and self-respect; essentially turning over the vineyard plot granted us by divine permission.  If we’re not where we think we’re supposed to be, it’s because we’re not emotionally ready.  We can’t throw the baby out with the bath water because we feel that the word makes us uncomfortable.  In understanding the words, we also understand that they are action words designed to change our way of being and doing, sternly guiding us back on course collectively and individually.  We don’t need a spiritual leader or elected official to connect with God but we do need Mother Earth, the garden and the womb.  It’s a very simplistic and indigenous way to bond using the physical world as a “medium” of communication with the spiritual world.   The Spirit of Earth responds when we court the elements through loving intention, the word of Christ instead of the idealism behind it.

We can go to church every Sunday or study theology our entire lives and still not make an emotional connection with what we’re reading and intellectualizing about.  We are arrogant to think that we can out-smart, misconstrue truth or bypass our emotions with God.  It’s up to us to swallow the medicine whether it be in the form of accountability, humility, discipline, intimacy or learning how to practice the concepts of Grace. How we choose to proceed with our own healing is up to us but God doesn’t show up for us if we don’t ask for our own salvation, especially when we won’t acknowledge where we feel “flawed”.  We know that we’ve (truly) found our own revelations when we have transcended the roles of victim, martyr and/or oppressor of self and others.  Energy flows where focus goes and it’s up to us to learn how to harness our energy from a place of love rather than placing blame for our problems.  For example, if we’re fixated on the “end of the world”, we shouldn’t be surprised when we feel like the world is ending.  If we want to come into unity, we have to recognize where we haven’t been united from withIN– emotionally and otherwise.  We don’t just attract our thoughts, we attract our emotions.  They call it spiritual practice for a reason, we have access to our own emotional space in order to absorb the rational interpretation of a loving presence.  We become more aware of our own emotional, mental and physical hygiene; coming into an organic purity of the heart and soul.  By encouraging an intimately balanced relationship with God, we learn how to have honest relationships with Self and others.  We initiate a greater and more profound change in our lives by living The Golden Rule which leads us to those synchronistic moments that happen when we know Spirit is a moving and active force in our lives.  With em-bodi-ment, the presence comes from withIN; we have a responsibility to realize that we are the physical manifestation of love in action, co-creating in God’s Vineyard.

“Drop your maps and listen to your lostness like a sacred calling into presence.  Here, where the old ways are crumbling and you may be tempted to burn down your own house.  Ask instead for an introduction to that which endures. This place without a foothold is the province of grace.  It is the questing field, most responsive to magic and fluent in myth.  Here, where there is nothing left to lose, sing out of necessity that your ragged heart be heard.  Send out your holy signal and listen for the echo back.” ~ Dreamwork with Toko-pa

The Art of Life ~ Creating through Chaos

Last night as I was sleeping, I dreamt that I had a beehive within my heart, and the golden bees were making white combs and sweet honey from all of my bitter disappointments.
~ Antonio Machado

There is an Art to Life and living if we Learn how to Live it the right way, from the inside out instead of from the outside in.  It requires the willingness to open our mind and heart to our own unique, Creative Gifts.  But, more importantly, it allows us the Freedom to detach ourselves from the matrix of boxes and squares and find that the Gift of Creation is actually Beautifully chaotic.  We become attached to all kinds of unhealthy ideas of what we think we need to be happy but if we look deep withIN we find that what we think we need is mostly of a material, addictive, and external nature.  Everything is upside down in the Beautifully chaotic rabbit hole and we often perceive this chaos as our Lives “falling apart”.

The Rabbit Hole

download (1)There’s terms for this state of being and several come to mind – rock bottom, identity crisis, coming of age, depression, and/or finding the Spirit withIN (which will crack you wide open but that’s another article).  What we learn about Love is backwards in most cases which is ironic because we ARE Love, in its purest form.  The catch, the experiment if you will, was and is to truly find out what it means to be separate and opposite of our true nature which is Love.  The polarity is that Love and hate (fear) are like oil and water so when they interact on an energetic and emotional level we find the chaos, the allergic reaction if you will.  This the dark place, the inky black energy of the Aether, and the rock bottom.  But, it’s also the biggest Gift and our greatest opportunity to find a Creative “spark”…the way “out”.

Even in our darkest and most painful hour, we always have a choice.  It’s just harder to make that choice when we are in an emotional state of change because change can feel like we’re losing something.  To take it a step further, this dying off of the old to make room for the new can sometimes give us the perception of feeling like we can’t go on but it’s really the stale and toxic energy dying, not our Life Force!  But, it so happens that we all have fears and when we go into fear we become less clear on what it is we’re looking for.  From there….well, pack your bag because it’s time to take a trip and this trip is no vacation rather a tumultuous and bumpy ride ultimately leading you to the very same destination!  So, we have to ask ourselves, do we want to take the private jet or pull the rickshaw with all its baggage to get where we need to go?

Emotions don’t make sense all the time.  It doesn’t matter “why?” because we all have our own unique and creative way of processing, perceiving, and evaluating our own experiences.  The best recipe for emotional chaos is to simplify which ultimately brings us to our own objectivity.  We can simplify our emotions into 2 categories, Love or fear.  If you’re not feeling well this will simply tell you everything you need to know.  It means it’s time to clear out the suitcase and make room for something new, something Good – even if it feels upside down (you’re in the rabbit hole, remember?).

The Big Move

Article-4-Hoarding-The-Art-Of-Letting-Go-Photo-1First, it helps to know that we’ve done this before even if we forgot how.  But, when we’re Creating we’re also changing, morphing, evolving, and moving energy – the emotional kind of energy that comes with great weight which is why it’s called EnLightenment.  We’re Lightening our emotional load and unpacking our emotional baggage in order to replace it with more of what our Heart and Soul essence is searching for…. the longing for change and the fear that comes with it.  My son used to say “it’s bark” when he was little instead of voicing the dark but it exists and we have to not only face it but go through it.  Don’t be scared, though, because the darkness is also the Aether which is the spiritual energy of Creation.  The Aehter is the “place” where Miracles are born, Lives are forever changed, and something can come from “nothing”.  The nothingness is still energy because there is no such thing as nothing.  For example, if we make a decision to wait or stand still it’s still a decision, even if it’s temporary.  In the Heartfelt stillness we find the Creative spark we need to set our Universe Afire giving permission for those around us to do the same.  To make the big move we have to realize that it’s a 2 step process.  First, we find the fearful energy looking to be released, and most of us have an awareness of our fears even if we’re unsure how to process them and/or persuade then to move out.  The key is realizing that we need something to replace the fear with and this is the process that we don’t necessarily like so much because it’s uncomfortable at best.

The reason it’s so hard to move is because we don’t always support the Universe in supporting us by focusing on the “what if’s” instead of the Miracles.  Due to societal, familial, and/or religious perceptions we tend to focus on what we can’t do instead of what we can, what can go wrong instead of what can go right, and what other people think instead of listening to the beat of our own Heart.  If we stand still we think we’re doing something “wrong” but it takes great Courage, discipline, and a unique kind of “energy” to be patient and wait for the answers to come instead of fearfully grasping at straws just to make a decision, even if it’s the wrong decision.  We’re creatures of habit and instant gratification forgetting often that we are Infinite BEings.  This is where we get “stuck” going round and round trying to solve fearful problems with the same mentality that created them…more fear.  Solving fear with fear is the proverbial insanity of banging our heads against the wall until we have a “concussion” and can’t think straight at all anymore.

Grab a Pallette

Our rock bottom, uncomfortable,  rage of discontentment is ultimately telling us everything we need to know about what’s not “working” in our Lives.  We may not like what we see when we look in the mirror at some of the fearful, desperate decisions we’ve made but to undo the “damage” we have to go through the darkness in order to see the Light.  The pain of our discontent and anger is the perfect indicator that we are settling for less than what our Heart is telling us we are Worthy of, withIN and without.  We may not like the landscape or the paint we’ve thrown on the canvas but we can change it, move it, enhance it, and color it in.  When we survive our “mistakes” we find we long for a more Joyful, meaningful, enriching, experiential kind of Life that is almost impossible to find as long as we’re thinking that what we want for ourselves is out of our reach.  And, let’s be honest, our demons aren’t very easy to look at which is why they like to lurk just beyond the periphery of our vision.  The ego operates like a secret agent in stealth mode invoking the turbulence of our fear.  But, we have something the “ego” doesn’t – we have our Light.  Darkness is only a blank canvass and the absence of color.  Our Light contains every color imaginable, every possible outcome, and every Loving relationship we ever hope to attract.

Creating something *NEW* is the best way to release emotional baggage and re-color our Lives into something we can’t wait to look at in the mirror.  Life is supposed to be FUN and rewarding, especially when we make the choice to embody our Art of Life and all its endless, beautifully chaotic possibilities.  When we release our fears and Listen to our Heart we find our Gifts withIN – the color, the magic, the eye of the photographer, the voice of an angel, the dancer in all her Grace and Beauty, the yogi who knows stillness is a feat, the words to uplift and empower, the essence of our very BEing.  The Dreamer’s dream comes to Life before our very eyes and it mirrors back to us all that we truly are.  Beautiful Beings of Light and Love who have the power to transcend every dark and fearful thing with our unique and colorful Creator spark in the darkness of the Aether.

Empathy and Ubuntu ~ a Philosophy for a New Humanity

Ubuntu-Empathy-the-New-Paradigm-for-HumanityBy Jennifer Deisher

Contributing Writer for Wake Up World

Here we are on our beautiful blue green planet, travelling through time and space, hurtling toward infinity. Whether we realize it or not, we are united by our humanity.

As we each begin to flow into our spiritual journey, we become aware of a consciousness beyond our rational 3D comprehension. We begin to question everything we think we know about life and reality. We de-construct the illusions around us, and come to a new understanding of our place in the universe and beyond. And this new awareness is both liberating and extremely confronting, all at the same time.

Perhaps things are not quite what they seem.

The Hierarchy of Needs

We can understand our most basic human needs, and also our higher spiritual needs, through the psychological tool known as Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs [i]. The bottom of the triangle represents our most basic physiological needs and the top represents our own Self-actualization or Self-awareness (which, not surprisingly, is represented by the “all-seeing eye” at the top of the proverbial pyramid.

A common belief is that we are spiritual beings having a human experience, and that our full potential is realized through the practices of love and empathy, and the Ubuntu philosophy. And that’s true! But we can’t ever forget that we are also human too. We have simple biological and emotional needs – such as food, water, and a sense of safety – that must be met in order for our very survival, and although there are a handful of spiritual ‘leaders’ in history who were synonymous with fasting and poverty, for most of us, we can’t even begin to understand our potential for Self-actualization or Ascension until those basic needs are met.

Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs

So as messengers of a new paradigm, our challenge is not just to focus on the development of ‘higher’ personal aspects such as creativity, self-esteem and self-love, but to embrace and support those whose basic (and therefore spiritual) needs are not fulfilled, and help them create the sense of security and belonging they need as stepping stones to self-actualization.

Rainbow Day of Love

My friend, Deb Augenbaugh, decided to do just that when she recently started the non-profit organization Rainbow Day of Love to help feed the homeless population in her home town of Denver, Colorado. My husband, Aaron, and I had the honor of volunteering with her start-up organization this summer, and what we learned was a real lesson on our spiritual journey.

We came out on a Sunday morning to serve breakfast and as soon as breakfast was finished the group immediately formed another line for the next meal. Lesson #1: The sense of insecurity associated with unfulfilled physiological needs is ever-present, and does not go away with just one full belly. The tragedy of this situation is that these peoples’ lives are being spent trying to provide for their most basic physiological needs – quite symbolically, at the very bottom of the pyramid. In other words, they spend the whole day meeting the physiological needs of food, water, and shelter, while the rest of us take such necessities for granted and, as a society, waste the very resources these people so desperately need access to.

That Sunday morning, we struck up a chat with some people after breakfast and heard so many personal stories – war veterans, parents, college graduates – all who have experienced great hardship but are still living to tell their stories. Lesson #2: Survival instincts are hard-wired into our biology, including own need for safety. We each share the same primal instinct to live, and it’s a most natural response to do what we need to do in challenging circumstances in order to meet our most basic physiological needs. And although we may at one time be surrounded by friendship, safety and self-confidence in our lives, our physiological and safety needs that begin to go unfulfilled (whatever the circumstances) directly impact our sense of self and belonging.

Lesson #3: When we let people know that they are valued with something as simple as as smile or a hug or a question, the uplifting affect that loving connection has on their life-force (and yours) is both visible and immediate, sending ripples out into conscious universe.

A Collective Problem

As spiritual messengers and spiritual beings, we cannot speak of empathy if we are seemingly at a level of Self-actualization looking “down” at the reality of others, and dismissing their difficult experience as “creating their own reality”. But in truth, this limited perception is not based on reason or actual experience. We are ALL creating our own reality – and that creation includes a social hierarchy which is competitive by design, and therefore exclusive (to some) by result. If we – humanity – are to ascend to a new way of living, the only way to do that is TOGETHER. And yet our collective tendency is ignore their situation, and in big cities, even step over them in the street. We look to governments to “solve the unemployment problem”, which is an inherent part of our economic structure, and moan about the takers from the “welfare state”.

Not exactly conducive to a sense of safety and belonging, is it?

In reality, the majority of people living in poverty are – like the rest of us – incredibly intelligent, talented, creative and often educated people who have contributed to society, and who today are forced to use their talents and creativity just to sustain life; to survive. And that’s part of the “tragedy” – with basic needs met, their intelligence and creativity could be an amazing asset to our society! But while our society’s focus remains competitive not communal, a sense of belonging and self-realization takes a back-seat to the necessities of life for many people, and our spiritual life-force continues to vibrate on “survival” mode. While people are held by poverty at this base level of awareness, there is little room in their reality for other forms of safety, love, esteem, or self-actualization.

As enlightened beings, we have to be willing to see through the rationalizations of “the homeless problem” and our fears and misconceptions of “the homeless”, and begin to see that they too are spiritual beings who are desperately in need of our love, understanding and support.

The Empathy Card

Empathy: the ability to understand and share the feelings of another.

Science is finally beginning to understand what many of us have always known; that we humans are soft wired with empathy [ii]. It’s in our genetics. When we say “soft wired” it means that it isn’t a reflex like a knee jerk or a flight-fight response, rather it’s up to us to consciously exercise and utilize our empathy ‘muscle’ so we can gain a better understanding of our collective journey.

The second of the Seven Universal Laws, the immutable Law of Correspondence, tells us “As above, so below; as below, so above”. [iii] This means that we have an individual journey and a collective journey, and they are interconnected and correspond with one another in infinite synchronicity; that our outer world reflects to us our inner world; that what we choose within, we choose without.

Will you choose empathy and compassion? Or judgment and inaction?

We cannot consider ourselves a compassionate, intelligent, creative race of people until we change our relationship with homelessness and poverty in our society, and on our planet. There is certainly plenty to go around. According to http://www.worldhunger.org [iv]

The world produces enough food to feed everyone. World agriculture produces 17 percent more calories per person today than it did 30 years ago, despite a 70 percent population increase. This is enough to provide everyone in the world with at least 2,720 kilocalories (kcal) per person per day  according to the most recent estimate that we could find (FAO 2002, p.9). The principal problem is that many people in the world do not have sufficient land to grow, or income to purchase, enough food.

Harmful economic systems are the principal cause of poverty and hunger… Essentially control over resources and income is based on military, political and economic power that typically ends up in the hands of a minority, who live well, while those at the bottom barely survive, if they do.

As we confront the reality of increasingly harmful economic systems and government priorities, the social and spiritual inequity embedded in our social systems can seem near-impossible to overcome.

But it isn’t.

Real, lasting social change begins as an impossible creative spark in our hearts and minds, and manifests in our society from the ground up.

not-yet

Don’t Believe It’s Possible?

For those who believe homelessness is an unsolvable inevitability, take note. Since 2005, Utah has reduced homelessness by 74 percent and is on-track to end homelessness by 2015. [v]

How did they do this? Simple. They gave homeless people homes.

Why? Because it makes good sense, even in our competitive economy-driven society.

The obvious benefit is that, by satisfying the physiological and safety needs of marginalized people, they can begin to focus on ‘higher’ needs and rebuild their sense of esteem and belonging. But from a purely economic standpoint, providing permanent housing for the homeless is not only more humane than our system of competition and criminalization – it’s cheaper. [vi]

Utah policy makers realized that the annual cost of hospital and prison stays for homeless people was around $16,670 per person, compared to $11,000 annually to provide each homeless person with an apartment and a social worker. So the state of Utah addressed the basis of homelessness by giving away apartments, and assigning case-workers, as part of the state’s new Housing First program. As a result, Utah is saving money overall, while allowing all residence access to shelter and safety, a place from which other needs can begin to be met.

So far, the program has proven so successful that other states are modelling future programs on Utah’s success… and all it took was some clear, creative and compassionate thinking.

The Essence of Ubuntu

Ubuntu is a philosophy originating in Southern African that means literally “human-ness” or “humanity”. The term is used to represent a humanist philosophy or ideology, known as Ubuntuism, which is based on the universal bond of sharing that connects all of humanity. In our society, which institutionalizes competition instead of co-operation, this idea can seem like quite a paradigm shift. But Ubuntu is more than just a lovely idea, it is the communal foundation on which many cultures are built, ensuring the base needs of all individuals are met and freeing them up to pursue ‘higher’ needs of creativity, problem solving and self-realization.

As consciously evolving beings, we understand that we lift ourselves by lifting others, and that we can’t begin to uplift our world and our planet if we are personally unwilling to empathize with and empower the people who are most marginalized, and whose connection to Self and Source is most hampered by circumstance. When we add the Ubuntu philosophy into the mix, along with our pyramid of needs, we see the much bigger picture. It is about more than just empathy from afar. Instead of just looking at our reality from our individual, albeit empathetic perspective, we must acknowledge our connectedness – that “I am because we are” – and be guided by that knowledge into actions that reflect it back to us. “As above, so below”.

I came across this quote from Shakespeare the other day which says it perfectly: “Fatigue makes cowards of us all”.

We have been riding this wave of ascension for some time now, shining light into the shadows… and many of us are tired. But now isn’t the time to rest. Our collective awareness is expanding, and momentum is gathering.

When you feel that fatigue, look for motivation to those living lives of poverty and uncertainty, whose entire being revolves around providing their most basic needs for survival – and consider the kind of fatigue that comes with that. When you feel that tired feeling that all “conscious warriors” feel at one time or another, remember that “I am because we are”… remember the power you have to generate positive ripples of change, starting with your immediate world… remember that the spiritual ascension of humanity is a collective process… and remember that we don’t just begin to heal others through altruism, we begin to heal our society as well as those pieces of our Self that are asking to be seen through our mirror of experience.

Then, from this compassionate and open place, we can begin to find new ways to fulfill, uplift, and inspire one another – to “enlighten” each other in the truest sense. We can begin to hear each other and meet each other’s gaze, get to know what makes each other tick. We can begin to fulfill each other’s most basic, fundamental, physiological needs, and ultimately overcome the unnecessary suffering of poverty and homelessness – without waiting for our failing, unprincipled governments to do it for us.

So, next time your paths cross with a brother or sister in need, it may be time to see if you can get to know them a little better, and see what makes them tick. Homeless people don’t need our advice on how to get a job; they need food and safety, and a connection to others – the very first steps toward self-realization. But more importantly, they (and we) need a new social system; one that reflects our human oneness and better serves and reflects our commUnity. And in creating that new social model, the perspective of those homeless and disenfranchised people who live on the edges of our current system is invaluable.

We all have a very significant role to play in the conscious evolution of our planet. We have the capacity to break the pattern of our “reality” as we know it, and leave a legacy of love and inclusion for our children, and their children. But first, we must change the way humanity feels about itself, and to do that, we must be able to look ourselves in the mirror and see our shared humanity reflected back at us.

The River – Navigating Your Own Spiritual Route

The River

By Andy Whiteley and Jennifer Deisher

No one can define the river. The only one that can define the other is itself. Life is the river.

The intricate river of consciousness is a stream of oneness that flows around us, through us, and between us. We are all diverse beings, yet through it we are entirely interconnected.

As we ride the river, it brings us endless opportunities to change course, to shift our energetic focus. We come to crossing after crossing, decision after decision. But the collective current can be overwhelming, so we often plot the course that others have take, follow someone else’s map, or sail the route most familiar, forgetting or foregoing the truth that we are all navigators, living only to experience the limitless river, our own way.

Going with the flow

Despite our diversity, as we grow we are taught to suspend our individuality, to be “an adult”, to join the uniformed collective and give up on the unique “silly dreams” of our childhood. We learn to celebrate those who do and to castigate those who don’t. We learn very early that expressing our deepest drives, and taking our deepest dives, will differentiate us from the social group – the first step towards ostracism, or “not fitting in”.

The way to navigate the river, we’re taught, is to go with the collective flow. Don’t rock the boat. Keep your eyes on the boat ahead. Row to the beat of the drum. Some of us feel like giving up paddling altogether. As we ride the waves of the planetary shift, it can certainly seem the easier option.

But, just as the river is undefined until it defines itself, we are undefined until we define ourselves. Our river is infinite. Our potential is endless. Our only limitation is the idea of limitation; an idea we reinforce in each other from birth.

Thankfully, self-limiting ideas can be deconstructed, when you’re ready to get your feet wet. How? Take a deep breath and grab a paddle!

It’s up to each of us to choose our own direction, right now, from this point, according to our own inner compass. We’re on the water anyway… Would you rather choose a destination or just follow the boat ahead? We may navigate unknown, even uncharted obstacles, but that is an inevitable part of exploring the river. Sailing our own spiritual route, we see a clearer view of what’s around us. Unobstructed by expectation and limitation, we navigate from our intuition, exploring our own unique connection to the limitless potential of the current.

That’s when we discover our own ‘special something’…. and when that happens, anything can manifest. What, is up to you.

Which wolf wins?

One evening an old man told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, ‘My son, the battle is between two ‘wolves’ inside us all. One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.’

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: ‘Which wolf wins?’

The old man simply replied, ‘The one you feed’.

Creating the dream

In the reality we see today, we have two clear paths to choose from: to act from kindness, embrace diversity, and honor real knowledge, wisdom and peace… Or to continue giving our energy to a centralized culture of induced polarity and misinformation, which breeds greed, ego and apathy.

So which wolf will you feed?

Many will think this “childish dream” of creating a truly benevolent commUnity is just that; a dream – a fantasy, not a plan, and certainly not a plan already in action. But we challenge them to think about this in a different way.

At this point in humanity’s history it seems that there are many who are desperately hanging on to an antiquated social belief system, many aspects of which they don’t even realize exist or affect them. Like the river of consciousness, our social programming goes very, very deep; it is attached to our sense of value and our sense of self. It colors our view of the entire river, as it started the day we were born. And despite the efforts of the Powers That Were to perpetuate the ‘norm’, to keep us paddling in circles, those inherited beliefs have failed us both individually and collectively.

It was inevitable. In the end, all lies break down.

Our society is built on a toxic foundation. Led by deceit, we honor the values of competition and consumption, separation and (perceived) safety. When you’re in it, entranced by it, it can be difficult to see it. But you can feel it. You can’t put your finger on it but something doesn’t feel right. Everyone’s smiling but something’s up. You’re just not sure what. And anyone who speaks up is treated as a lunatic.

That’s the trap.

As a result, here we are as a society, living out the true definition of insanity; doing the same things over and over each day, and expecting a different outcome tomorrow. We’re paddling around in circles, hoping for a better “reality”, but ignoring to the turns the river is offering.

We don’t know about you but we choose a different reality. Today. And it starts with just one new turn.

Our most limiting beliefs and values were created for us in childhood, and we are comfortable with the patterns of behavior (however negative) that they drive from deep within us. After all, they are all we know. It is by questioning the beliefs we were taught by others (who were also taught by others), consciously shedding those beliefs that don’t serve us as individuals, and realizing that we have choices, that we find the ability to tune into our heart – our relationship with our true self – and learn from within what route is best for us, individually and authentically.

Only then, when we realize our true nature – warts, farts and all – can we nurture what is unique about our self, and ultimately contribute our gift to the betterment of the whole. Until then, we’re just following the flow of someone else’s current, bobbing around in the wash.

As we begin to explore a path that truly resonates for us, we break down our own sense of limitation – that hopeless sense of failing without ever trying – and remember that anything we can conceive is possible. We find alignment with our own unique vibration, and finally stop expecting (and then accepting) ‘less’ for our self, and for those around us.

“Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t – you’re right.” ~ Henry Ford

My boat, my reality

If you can’t conceive of what we’re describing, that’s okay. This is my boat, and this is my reality. You may prefer a different route to travel. Your boat, your reality. You may also find yourself lost, and that’s okay too. But please, until you find your inner compass, paddle quietly to the shore and try not to obstruct passing vessels.

People who say it can’t be done should not interrupt those who are doing it. ~ George Bernard Shaw

The fact is, people, places, things, and circumstances are only as important as the energy we give them. Even science is coming to understand that our universe is as responsive to us as we are responsive to it; that DNA can be re-programmed by words and frequencies; that the world literally changes at a quantum level under the watchful eye consciousness; that we areinterdimensional beings with the power of suggestion, intention and belief at our disposal. So, as science and spirituality collide, understanding that our consciousness helps to shape the ‘physical’ 3D world around us, the laws of physics and consciousness should be seen as complementary.

So let’s apply this principle. Let’s toss stones of intention and love into the collective waters, and change the vibration of the whole river.

Of course, in a community of individuals, we each have choices. Though the river is interconnected, what you do in the comfort of your own boat is up to you. But it is worth remembering, if you keep veering left, you’ll just keep going around in circles.

Are you ready to admit humanity is lost and try a new route? To create that “dream” reality?

As rewarding as it is, it takes great courage of the heart to embark deep within oneself. It can be very confronting. We may feel pain, or regret, or that we were “wrong” in the way we once perceived our respective reality. But we must remember that our perspective is never “wrong”. Constantly altered by experience, our perspective is a unique and mutable manifestation of consciousness itself. It is consciousness. Without experience and change, there would be no challenge, no growth – no reality. This fact of our reality becomes more apparent as we move into new levels of consciousness, and more comfortable as we learn to separate our Being from our ego.

So, as we go through this self discovery and raise ourselves to a higher vibration, it helps to remember that we are not who we once were. We are an ever-changing part of something more vast and complex than we can possibly comprehend. As we delve into the depths of the river, we must show ourselves compassion and release the emotions of those “regrettable” experiences that brought us here, and release the frequency of those unresolved feelings from our being. And we must show others the same compassion, regardless of ‘where’ they are on their journey. We’re all on this river together.

Honoring life

Let’s honor those things in others that are common among us, and which make us human.

Let’s honor everyone we meet, and see and hear them with an open heart and an open mind.

Honor life and love, whether you are saying goodbye or saying hello. Honor the heart, whether it is lost in sorrow or shining bright.

Honor the elderly, for riding that river that brought you here.

Honor your parents and your children, sisters and brothers, partners and friends, who share the journey with you.

Honor and celebrate the people who make a real difference, everyday.

Honor the art of humanity where you see it, whether it is a masterpiece or a hopscotch board drawn in chalk. Honor the music that stirs your soul and makes your body move. Honor the ideas and ideals that inspire you to act, and the writing that touches your heart and makes you smile.

Honor the experiences that knocked you on your ass, and the opportunities that helped change your life. Honor the uniqueness of your experience, and of others. And honor the fact that you made it here.

Honor the Earth as the giver of life. Honor your body as a portal to this existence. Honor your sexuality as a sacred part of your humanity. Honor your mind, and question everything you “know”. Honor your intuition as it lets you know where to find joy in your life, and where to find resistance and growth. Honor your weaknesses, as they ultimately become our assets.

Honor your limitless imagination… and let’s see what an amazing commUnity we can create together.

Honor your sacred, unexplainable self.

Honor life.

In a limitless world, our only limitation is the idea of limitation.

Let’s explore the river.
